Good Morning and who's not loving the spring smells?
OK, I'll admit it, I have a love/hate relationship with vehicles.
When I first get one, I always believe I got the best one on the road. By the end, I can't wait to just dump it and move on.
Case in point, my blue van.
I've had plenty of good times in the four years we've been together. We've gone up and down the coast. We have taken trips to New York in the winter and Washington DC in the spring.
There was that time our picnic turned into a rain out and we ate the sandwiches in the back.
Now, though, all those miles later, it's time to go. I don't need the room with my passengers getting older and I certainly don't need the low gas mileage.
Now what? Let's make this easy.
Of course, nothing is easy. If only we hadn't moved away from horse-drawn carriages.
Good Morning everbody. Check here for your wake up call every day. We will have updated traffic, weather and few fun things to get you through the morning.

Rise and Shine --- Ad break
Good Morning and wouldn't it be nice if we could all sleep in late?
Maybe we could make it a new holiday: National Sleep in Late Day.
Target could have a 'Sleep in Late Day Sale,' with doors not opening until noon. We could see Toyota commercials for the month leading up to the day.
Speaking of commercials, they have become really annoying of late.
Let's not even talk about the car ads where a bunch of people are running to the dealer to get the best buy. Now, I know cars might be selling a little better than 2 years ago, but, come on, don't insult me with a bunch of stupid people running to the dealer before the sale is over. I have a feeling if you go into the dealer a day after the sale is over, you can still get the same deal.
So, anyway, the one that is really annoying me right now is the credit card commercial where some town combines their points to watch 'the London Olympics in true London style.'
Excuse me, but the Olympics don't start for a month. How did this town watch them already? Are they in some kind of time vortex where they can live in today, but watch the Olympics in the future?
I know ad agency's are struggling to come up with ideas, but whoever green-lighted this one should be forced to watch hours of Angry Orange.
Never mind, that would probably be illegal torture.

Rise and Shine --- Too much of a good thing?
Good Morning and welcome to Friday!
So, the Cash for Clunkers program is scheduled to end Monday. Over the last few days, car dealers have been complaining about the program, which has been so successful it ran out of money.
Dealers, it appears, are doing too much business. The government is taking its own sweet time refunding the money (although if you've ever dealt with a government agency you know why) and those gas-guzzling junkers are piling up on back lots.
The bottom line, though, is people seem to be buying new cars, something that hasn't been happening over the last couple of years.
Lest you forget, the U.S. car manufactures all went thought bankruptcy, shut down plants and laid off too many workers.
Now, they are getting orders and selling cars. When the program ends Monday, so will a lot of the car buying.
Then again, what would we be if not a bunch of complainers. Need another example? Check out any of the health care debates.
Of course, this is just more ways for the government to take over your lives (on a side, that wingnut Glen Beck should get his own late-night conspiracy program):

Rise and Shine --- Winter rambling
Good Morning and welcome to the weekend!
Remember, there's only two weekends left to finish your Christmas shopping. Of course, the auto industry's shopping appears over after this Senate vote.
Speaking of shopping, it amazes me the way some treat things in stores.
I've seen some people actually pick up a sweater, not like the color, and throw it on the floor. These are probably the same ones who complain when they find something they want on the floor as well. How about treating merchandise like you already own it? Wait a minute, maybe they already are. Never mind.
By the way, I remember just a few years ago there seemed to be a Christmas show on television every night. You could always count on a Mickey Rooney Santa Claus to calm down the children and convince them to be good.
This year, though, we are being shown things like the High School Musical Christmas or the Naked Brothers Band Christmas or Jim Carrey's Grinch. In other words, real junk.
Just put on our old stop-motion classics. Rerun The Year Without a Santa Claus, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Jimmy the Crazy Elf, and the like over and over again.
In fact, why doesn't Comcast (the cable gods) just put together a Christmas show channel for the holidays. Get rid of one of the home shopping channels. After all, we are being told nobody is spending money anyway.
Not to ramble, but we can forget about Nostradamus, global warming was predicted years ago:
